Adelaide exists contentedly as a cultured, diverse, and attractive city with a laid-back center, leafy residential districts, and an underlying cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Step off the beaten path and head to South Australian Museum and Granite Island. Take a break from the city and head to Blowhole Beach and Horseshoe Bay. Get out of town with these interesting Adelaide side-trips: Boomer Beach (in Port Elliot), McLaren Vale (McLaren Unvaled & McLaren Vale III Associates) and Aldinga Beach (in Aldinga Beach). Dedicate the 16th (Sat) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Cleland Wildlife Park, kick back and relax at Morgan Beach, do a tasting at Sevenhill Cellars, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Glenelg Beach.
