Adelaide exists contentedly as a cultured, diverse, and attractive city with a laid-back center, leafy residential districts, and an underlying cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Adelaide Oval and South Australian Museum. Get outdoors at Cleland Wildlife Park and Adelaide Zoo. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Adelaide: Hahndorf (Beerenberg Farm, Hahndorf Farm Barn, & more), Mount Bold Reservoir (in Kangarilla) and McLaren Vale (Fox Creek Wines, Primo Estate, & more). Dedicate the 11th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's much more to do: take in nature's colorful creations at Adelaide Botanic Garden, steep yourself in history at Carrick Hill, look for all kinds of wild species at Hallett Cove Conservation Park, and hike along River Torrens Linear Park Trail.
