Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Visit Kirra Beach and Burleigh Head National Park for some beach relaxation. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Kings Beach and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Step out of Brisbane with an excursion to Coolangatta Beach in Coolangatta--about 2 hours away. There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, kick back and relax at Moffat Beach, stroll through Dicky Beach, and see the interesting displays at Museum of Brisbane.
