Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Visiting Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Mount Wellington will get you outdoors. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Bellerive Beach and Long Beach. There's much more to do: take a peaceful walk through Franklin River Nature Trail, enjoy the sand and surf at Hinsby Beach, step off the mainland to explore Maria Island National Park, and snap pictures at Richmond Bridge.
