Ulverstone is a town on the northern coast of Tasmania, Australia on the mouth of the Leven River, on Bass Strait. Take a break from the city and head to Leven Canyon and Devils @ Cradle. Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Step off the beaten path and head to Opossum Bay Beach and Seven Mile Beach. Do some cultural sightseeing at North Hobart and Museum of Old and New Art. Take a break from Hobart with a short trip to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Brighton, about 30 minutes away. Spend the 24th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Spend the 26th (Tue) exploring nature at Hartz Mountains National Park.
