The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Get a sense of the local culture at Koolpin Gorge and Defence of Darwin Experience. Spend the 10th (Tue) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Get a sense of the local culture at Shrine of Remembrance and Melbourne Museum. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Old Melbourne Gaol and Parliament House of Victoria. Visit The Rocks and Justice & Police Museum for their historical value. Get a sense of the local culture at Darling Harbour and Australian National Maritime Museum. Step out of Sydney to go to Faulconbridge and see Norman Lindsay Gallery & Museum, which is approximately 1h 20 min away.
