Darwin

The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Go for a jaunt from Darwin to Batchelor to see Litchfield National Park about 1h 20 min away. Spend the 31st (Sat) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 5th (Thu) at Darwin Waterfront. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Mindil Beach, take in the dramatic natural features at Berry Springs Nature Park, get some thrills on the water with a speed boat tour, and take an in-depth tour of Darwin Aviation Museum.

A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Spend the 15th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. On the 19th (Thu), spend a fun day on foot with Walking tours.
