A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Step out of the city life by going to Scuba & Snorkeling and Trinity Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Palm Cove Beach and Yorkeys Knob Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Hartley's Crocodile Adventures in Palm Cove (about 44 minutes away). Spend the 5th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Located off of the Great Western Highway, Katoomba is the main hub of the City of Blue Mountains.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Blue Mountains. On the 27th (Sat), take in the awesome beauty at Blue Mountains, then take in nature's colorful creations at Everglades Historic House and Gardens, and then admire the sheer force of Wentworth Falls.
