Visiting Meelup Beach and Jewel Cave will get you outdoors. Shop till you drop at JahRoc Galleries and Whirlwind Olives and Oil. Take a break from Margaret River with a short trip to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta, about 42 minutes away. Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Take a break from the city and head to Nanarup Beach and Lights Beach. Discover out-of-the-way places like Misery Beach and Little Beach. You'll get in some beach time at Ten Mile Lagoon and Salmon Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Thistle Cove and Hellfire Bay.
