The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Melbourne Museum and Old Melbourne Gaol. Appreciate the collections at Shrine of Remembrance and National Sports Museum. Venture out of the city with trips to Ballarat (Sovereign Hill & Ballarat Wildlife Park), Torquay (The Great Ocean Road & Bells Beach) and Dandenong Ranges National Park (in Dandenong). Spend the 7th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Dedicate the 20th (Tue) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at St. Kilda Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Warrandyte State Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Sandridge Beach, and admire nature's wide array of creatures at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

If you are flying in from Denmark, the closest major airport is Melbourne International Airport. November in Melbourne sees daily highs of 26°C and lows of 11°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
