Esperance is a town in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, on the Southern Ocean coastline approximately 720km east-southeast of the state capital, Perth. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Thistle Cove and Lucky Bay. Escape the urban bustle at Twilight Bay and Salmon Beach. Perth to Esperance is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Perth in January, expect Esperance to be little chillier, temps between 32°C and 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Albany.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Get outdoors at Anvil Beach and Nanarup Beach. Relax by the water at Lowlands Beach and Lights Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Albany: Cheynes Beach (in Waychinicup National Park), Denmark (Shelley Beach, Moombaki Wines, & more) and Cosy Corner Beach (in Kronkup). There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Little Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Goode Beach, don't miss a visit to Sharp Point, and explore the activities along Cable Beach.

Step off the beaten path and head to Rockingham Beach and South Beach Recreation Reserve. Visiting Waterskiing & Jetskiing and City Beach will get you outdoors.
