Do a combination of flight and train from Gold Coast to Katoomba in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or drive. Expect little chillier evenings in Katoomba when traveling from Gold Coast in January, with lows around 20°C. You will have some time to spend on the 19th (Sun) before leaving for Hobart.
