Adelaide exists contentedly as a cultured, diverse, and attractive city with a laid-back center, leafy residential districts, and an underlying cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Take a break from the city and head to Aldinga Beach and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. Get some historical perspective at Carrick Hill and Old Port Victor Historic Walk. Get out of town with these interesting Adelaide side-trips: Blowhole Beach (in Delamere), Raukkan Church (in Narrung) and Hahndorf (The Cedars & Beerenberg Farm). A relaxed town of tree-shaded streets and scenic coastal stretches, Broome gained renown as a center of the pearling industry in the late 19th century.
Escape the urban bustle at Dolphin & Whale Watching and Reddell Beach. Visit Japanese Cemetery and Catholic Diocese of Broome for their historical value. Spend the 10th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Traveling from Perth in March, things will get a bit warmer in Broome: highs are around 40°C and lows about 30°C.
