Naracoorte is a town in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, approximately 336 kilometres south-east of Adelaide and 100 kilometres north of Mount Gambier on the Riddoch Highway .HistoryNaracoorte was formed from the merger of two towns, Kincraig, founded in 1845 by Scottish explorer William Macintosh, and Narracoorte, established as a government settlement in 1847. Get a sense of the local culture at Redman Wines and Harrow Log Jail. Popular historic sites such as Serviceton Historic Railway Station and Robe Lighthouse are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Naracoorte: Leah Swamp Wildlife Reserve (in Apsley), Robe (Mahalia Coffee & Robe Beach) and Lions Club Fauna & Wetlands Park (in Kaniva). Spend the 20th (Fri) exploring nature at Little Desert National Park.
