Tanunda ©
One of the cities of the Barossa Valley wine-producing region, Tanunda has an easygoing atmosphere stemming from its close connection with agriculture and viniculture.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Crabtree Watervale Wines and Basedow Wines. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Sussex Squire Wines and Greg Cooley Wines. Step out of Tanunda to go to Clare and see Jim Barry Wines, which is approximately 1h 40 min away. There's much more to do: do a tasting at Chateau Dorrien, stop by Doddridge Blacksmith Shop, and savor the flavors at Schild Estate Wines.

For traveler tips, photos, more things to do, and tourist information, refer to the Tanunda tour planner .

Warrnambool to Tanunda is an approximately 7.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. In April, daytime highs in Tanunda are 26°C, while nighttime lows are 13°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Penwortham.
