Set sail from Sale to explore the entire Gippsland Lakes and their invigorating fresh air and outdoor activities before heading back to the Port of Sale for the café culture of a major regional hub.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Sale Common Nature Conservation Reserve and Lake Guyatt. Change things up with these side-trips from Sale: Great Southern Rail Trail (in Leongatha), Gippsland Immigration Park (in Morwell) and Pearl Park (in Foster). There's still lots to do: grab your bike and head to Great Southern Rail Trail, trek along Yanakie/Duck Point Loop, learn about all things military at Gippsland Armed Forces Museum, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St Pauls Cathedral.

In August, daytime highs in Sale are 17°C, while nighttime lows are 4°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Fri) so you can travel back home.
