Lent iconic status as a result of its famous bridge and opera house, Sydney has a down-to-earth charm that enhances its spectacular setting and functional efficiency.
Visit Manly Beach and Bondi Beach for some beach relaxation. Popular historic sites such as The Rocks and Cremorne Point to Mosman Bay Walk are in your itinerary. Change things up with these side-trips from Sydney: Wanda Beach (in Cronulla), The National Pass (in Blue Mountains National Park) and Wentworth Falls (in Katoomba). Spend the 13th (Tue) exploring nature at Sydney Harbour National Park. Spend the 18th (Sun) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
