A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Sun): appreciate the history behind Kings Park War Memorial, then contemplate the long history of Fremantle Prison, then get your game on at Elizabeth Quay Carousel, and finally take in the views from Elizabeth Quay. On the 13th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the waterfront views at Swan River, identify plant and animal life at Caversham Wildlife Park, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Adelaide to Perth is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. Traveling from Adelaide to Perth, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. In May in Perth, expect temperatures between 25°C during the day and 11°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel to Albany.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Tue): examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, steep yourself in history at Princess Royal Fortress, then contemplate the long history of The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum, then take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and finally admire the landmark architecture of The Church of Saint John the Evangelist.

Traveling by flight from Perth to Albany takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Perth in May: highs in Albany hover around 22°C, while lows dip to 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) so you can drive to Pemberton.
