Geelong is a port city located on Corio Bay and the Barwon River, in the state of Victoria, Australia, 75km south-west of the state capital, Melbourne. Relax by the water at Eastern Beach Reserve and Ocean Beach. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Sovereign Hill and The Gold Museum. Explore Geelong's surroundings by going to Warrook Farm (in Monomeith), Bittern Reservoir (in Tuerong) and Old Buninyong Library (in Buninyong). Make the 15th (Tue) an awe-inspiring day at Lorne Beach. Spend the 12th (Tue) exploring nature at Point Addis Marine National Park. There's much more to do: meet the residents at Werribee Open Range Zoo, trek along Otway Fly Treetop Adventures, identify plant and animal life at Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, and cruise along The Great Ocean Road.

If you are flying in from Italy, the closest major airport is Melbourne International Airport. In January, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
