The oldest European settlement on South Australia's mainland, Glenelg is named after a former Secretary of State for War and the Colonies, Lord Glenelg.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Sun): hike along River Torrens Linear Park Trail, take a leisurely stroll along Glenelg Pier, and then kick back and relax at Glenelg Beach.

McLaren Vale is a small rural town in South Australia famous for producing world class red wine. Start off your visit on the 11th (Mon): head off the coast to Granite Island, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Horseshoe Bay, and then sample the tasty concoctions at Goodieson Brewery. On the next day, kick back and relax at Carrickalinga Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple, then learn about winemaking at d'Arenberg, and finally do a tasting at McLaren Vale III Associates.
