Start off your visit on the 12th (Tue): do a tasting at Gala Estate Vineyard, enjoy the sand and surf at Friendly Beaches, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Coles Bay Jetty. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: relax in the rural setting at Freycinet Marine Farm, then trek along Wineglass Bay Lookout, then visit a coastal fixture at Cape Tourville Lighthouse, and finally kick back and relax at Honeymoon Bay.

Traveling by car from Coles Bay to Port Arthur takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In February, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Hobart.

Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Mona and Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. Step out of the city life by going to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Long Beach. There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Bellerive Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Seven Mile Beach, shop like a local with Salamanca Market, and look for gifts at Hammer and Hand Metal Gallery.
