George Town is a large town in north-east Tasmania, on the eastern bank of the mouth of the Tamar River. On the 6th (Wed), revel in the low prices at Lavender House The Perfumery, do a tasting at Holm Oak Vineyards, look for gifts at Goaty Hill Wines, take in the exciting artwork at Tamar Valley Art Shack, then visit a coastal fixture at The Low Head Lighthouse, and finally learn about all things military at Low Head Pilot Station Maritime Museum.

Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Port Arthur Historic Site and St. David's Cathedral. Eaglehawk Neck Historic Site and Museum of Old and New Art will appeal to museum buffs. Go for a jaunt from Hobart to Brighton to see Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary about 30 minutes away. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Seven Mile Beach, wander the streets of North Hobart, tour the pleasant surroundings at Nutgrove Beach, and learn about winemaking at Puddleduck Vineyard.

Getting from Coles Bay to Hobart by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of taxi and bus. In March, plan for daily highs up to 71°F, and evening lows to 52°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
