Start off your visit on the 3rd (Thu): get to know the fascinating history of Battery Point Sculpture Trail. On the 4th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for all kinds of wild species at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, see the interesting displays at Mona, and then have some family-friendly fun at Zone 3 Laser Games.

Canberra to Hobart is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of car and ferry. When traveling from Canberra in January, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Hobart: temperatures range from 26°C by day to 14°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) early enough to drive to Port Arthur.
