Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. On the 16th (Wed), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. The adventure continues: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Wellington, examine the collection at Museum of Old and New Art, take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and snap pictures at Richmond Bridge.

Melbourne to Hobart is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry and bus.
