Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Thu): see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, contemplate the long history of Princess Royal Fortress, then enjoy the sand and surf at Little Beach, and finally make a trip to Mt Melville Lookout.
