A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Bring the kids along to Scuba & Snorkeling and DFO Cairns, Direct Factory Outlets. Head to Tanks Arts Centre and Australian Leather Companyfor plenty of shopping. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Trinity Beach, view the masterpieces at Underart Gallery, stop by Cairns Central Shopping Centre, and trek along Esplanade Boardwalk.

Eumundi is a small town and locality in the Sunshine Coast hinterland in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia, 21 km south-west of Noosa Heads and 118 km north of the state capital, Brisbane. On the 5th (Tue), look for gifts at The Real McCaul, then look for gifts at Belmondos Organic Market, then browse the different shops at Maroochydore, Sunshine Plaza, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Mooloolaba Beach.

Start off your visit on the 6th (Wed): explore the world behind art at Queensland Art Gallery, then see the interesting displays at Queensland Museum & Sciencentre, and then admire the natural beauty at City Botanic Gardens. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and then take some stellar pictures from Mount Coot-tha Lookout.
