Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Get a sense of the local culture at Museum of Old and New Art and Cascades Female Factory Historic Site. Your inner history buff will appreciate Battery Point Sculpture Trail and Constitution Dock. When in Hobart, make a side trip to see Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Brighton, approximately 30 minutes away.
