Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Kick off your visit on the 3rd (Sun): look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and then let the kids burn off some steam at South Bank Parklands. On the next day, take in nature's colorful creations at Roma Street Parkland, get great views at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt. Coot-tha, and then get great views at Mount Coot-tha Lookout.

On the 5th (Tue), see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour. On your second day here, take in the pleasant sights at Castle Hill, then enjoy the sand and surf at The Strand, then step off the mainland to explore Museum of Tropical Queensland, and finally make a trip to Riverway.
